Upshift light works in 5th gear!

I got a bit of a surprise yesterday on the way to Köln, as the upshift light came on in 5th gear! Rather amusing, that.

Then the logical choice is to start round the gator again - belt it in reverse and shed some speed the quick way!

It didnt hit the rev limiter, but was turning around 6800RPM, not sure what the speed was reading at the time, but it must have been around the 225-230 mark.

there is no gear selector position sensor to the ecu so it doesnt know what gear your in. the shift light just works on revs so if you get the revs high enough the light will still come on no matter what gear your in.

A friend suggested that it was time to shift into "race" gear.
