URGENT HELP NEEDED

Had major problems with my 182.

drivin along and it went into limp mode took it to renault and had a new throttle pedal and battery. got it back and it went into limp mode again had an 02 sensor fault , so replaced that. got it back again went to indicate right and it started juddering and engine mangement light, esp light, and service light.

Took it back some how ive got water getting into my engine wiring loom and it keeps making the short out, and i keep getting a burning smell.

Got the following lights on:

service light
lamba senor light
esp light
abs light

They reckon the only way to fix it is buy both looms £530 without labour charges.

Can anyone help?

You been through any deep puddles / power washed engine bay ?

First thing i would do is send the ECU / UCH to a specialist to have them checked. If faulty replace / repair. Then i would remove the engine wiring loom myself ( 90 min job ) and thoroughly check all the connections for any type of damage - clean all the terminals then cover them in vaseline ( bar the ECU connector ) when reconnecting and lots of WD40. If you find its faulty, replace / repair. Then remove the dash top / dash itself and carry out same procedure. Its not a big job.

cheers matt, had a friend over lastnite who works for renault, ecu is fine need the 2 new looms connectors are knackered and the 1 pin has melted.
