******Urgent Help*******





Right, took my key out of the ignition, went in the house, then came back out side put my key in the ignition and it wont go all the way in!! It only goes in 3/4 of the way!! It feels like its hitting a solid wall!! Have tried tapping the barrel to see if thst helps but nothing!!

I have tried to take the console apart so i can get at the little black box and start it that way but cant get my barrel out of its housing!!

Any help people!!

Have a good look at your key, you havnt snapped the end off have you?

Nah its not snapped mate!!

Tried spare and exactly the same!!

Steering lock went on while wiggling it trying to get the key in first time and have since tried to wiggle it while trying the key!!

Does anyone have a spare ignition barrel?
 


Could anyone with a haynes have a look for me as its real dark now and i have to at least hot wire tonight and will have to snap the steering lock as i need the car in the morning!!

I just wanna know how to get at the black box on the rear of the barrel!!

Im gonna have to make a mess of it if i cant get it out properly!!

My Escort Haynes has got it in so i presume the Clio one will too!! I bought a Haynes off of e-bay and am waiting for it to be delivered!!

So if someone could scan it for me i would be greatful!!

Dont know if it is the same but I had to remove the black box on back of mini barrel. Its held in by a very small possie screw in one side of the metal barrel.

Hope you get it sorted.
