Usb hub - how do you make it work ?

It say on it plug & play, I thought cool i'll plug it in & off I go, no not all :S

It recognises it, then it says the bit about install drivers etc, it's asking for a 'EHCI driver install disk' what's that ??

I only got a cheapo one from tesco's the other day to see if I sort out my ipod problem, it doesn't do anything though.

My ipod prob is here, so I thought with this maybe I could get round it. I'm lost now :dapprove:

Ho w do I go about making the hub work ??

Or your USB slots aren't giving enough power to the hub, take it back and get a hub with a power cable.

It has a 5v in for a power cable. Where do I get the plug in bit from though ?
The hub was cheap (from tesco's) under £6 lol.

Cool, glad it works!

The reason it isn't running at speed it probably because your computer doesn't support USB 2.0. Are you using XP SP1? You may need update to SP2/3 if you are.

I don't think it will make any difference though.

I'm running SP3, the pc's about 3- 4 years old now.

I really don't get it, my bro's ipod works fine on it, but when he first tried to use it he had the same problem as me. I have tried all the usb ports on the pc (four of them) but it doesn't work.

I may get an adaptor & see what happens, even if it's just to rule it out.
