Using mobile broadband wirelessly.

I have mobile broadband through Three/3, which I plug a usb dongle into my laptop to use. Which is fine my me, I get about 2.8mbps with it, and all is good.

Now, they do a little wifi gadget that you put your sim into, and use that instead of the dongle. They charge £49.99 for it. I would then be able to connect 2 laptops, and my iphone wirelessly. And xbox, although online gaming would be useless due to ping times.

I noticed that our work router has a usb port on it, and says it's 3.5G mobile broadband compliant. Does this mean it would act as a wireless router if I plugged my dongle into it?
