V6 255 1/4 mile times

  Renault Laguna Coupe

Id be disappointed if I couldnt get low 14s. 13.999 would be great :D but probably a lot harder than it sounds.

add a NOS and youd be sure to get low 13s or better... :)

They quote mid 14s for most road test i have seen.

Does the V6 come with a fire extinguisher?

It would take a fair bit of nos to get under 13s I rekon. CB1A got a 14.4 in his mk1...think he had 75 or 100 shot of nos and got 13.6 IIRC. You would probably need 2-300shot and I cant see it taking that for long.

I reckon youll be looking at v low 14s standard

Gee 13.999.....14s......15s:eek:.................are we sure about this..........cause I was getting into the 13s without even trying in my GTi-R...............and it was without giving it any real stick cause I had just spent £3500 on it and didnt want any problems...........I didnt think there was that much between them:eek:

OR..............maybe I just drive like a HOOLIGAN eh:D

Hi Chris............yeah I did think about that.............cause its almost impossible to get wheelspin in an R but.............Clarkson didnt get any wheelspin when he hammered the Vee.................and I was probably using about the same revs (4000) as him in the R:confused:

Yeah I think they are just trying to sell it. When you buy it and cant get anywhere near those times theyll tell you its down to the driver. They even say that its 250bhp stockk so they arent the most accurate when it comes to figures...

Ah well, looks like no-ones actually tried a standard 255 yet, so I wont look too much of a tw@t when I run a 15.5 and get beaten by a Corsa :p

Well Mike Id like to think youd get down to 14 easy;)

Also if you side step the clutch at 6000rpm:eek: then into the 13s eh:D

the fact my 1.2 16v was getting to 60ft jus as quick as the 172s that day :D (2.3 2.4 secs)

im sure i could improve your time, lol

nah, low 14s high 13s should be about right

CB1A run 13.1 (i thought) in his 100 shot v6 at york @ silly mph, though without it run a 14.4, so who knows

dont even know what t700ser run it in at santa pod, forgot to speak to him

OK will have a practice up at Tescos later :p It does seem to grip really well at the rear so its probably just a matter of being sufficiently brutal :devilish:

Naa bam he only got 13.6 ish. His orange beast actually got a better time and terminal with less nos! Stripped to the b****cks mind but still an awesome time. 5.5secs 0-60 in a fwd car is pretty good as well.

mind that clutch - I made ours smell seriously at Brands at the photo shoot leaving the Willy and the Turbo 2 standing!!!!

Wouldnt be too brutal or itll be new gearbox time :(

Arent the V6s gearboxes supposed to be a little uncharitable if you really snap your changes? and then need changing under warranty!?

HELL, if youve got a warranty - USE it :devilish:
