How do other folk get cold air into the box?Hose to behind the nearside headlight? Ignore altogether the acoustic valve?

Get rid of the hoses and leave the box open, if you look at the right side of the front grill there's a little channel that feeds air directly into the engine where the boxes intake hole is, i've been running mine like that for years and never suffered with reduced power due to heat soak.

Thanks. Going to see if I can use a plumbing fitting to give a slight trumpet effect to the inlet pipe

I have considered putting a 90 degree bend on mine so it sits right up against the grill to channel air directly into it,
but I don't want rain water to be blown in.
