V6 gone-what plugs the gap

Now the clio is boring and without a brand boosting crazy car, what plugs the gap?

Would you like to see a v6 engined 2+2 renault coupe?

Or instead an audi/bm style range with an RS vairiant in every sector?

Im personally hoping Clio V6 demand was high enough to convince renault to make a mad FWD version thats easier produce and costs about £10k less.

Trouble is that a mad FWD isnt different enough. Sure they could play with the looks (S1600 stylee) but only so much they can do to the dynamics of the car.

Its the fact that V6 is SO different than a 172/182 (and anything else out there) which makes it so special.

Front engined rwd clio 350z, yes please. Lol

If Nissan/Renault can now share parts it would be nice to see them push the RS range on like the M series BMs and the S series Audis and release:

RS Laguna 3.5 RWD & 2L T Fwd

RS Megane 3.5 RWD & 2L T Fwd

RS Clio 3L RWD & 2L T Fwd (Front Engined)

Like itll ever happen though

The V6 was unique a real car famous for its looks an the fact that Renault had the guts to build something noone else would do. After all VW built the 3l (means it burns 3 liters per 100KM which is the euro version of mpg )lupo after hearing Renault were builing a 3 liter car. They never even thourght that maybe the mad French would build a 3 liter powered car.
Th V6b is performance sports cars go isnt superb there are better fast cars but it stands out.
Im not sure what they sould rplace it with a 3.5 liter V6 maybe? ie use the Nissan 350 block. Id heard Renault were going to a make a replacment but Id guess now it would be more a Megan race car than Clio.
Id like to see a replacment V6 or similar to help promote the brand but corperate politics being what they are I think its probably only a dream.
Anyway I want to see them make a dci RS car it wont happen in the next few years probably when the facelift Clio comes out in maybe 2009.

The wind?

FWD megane based concept which was built to showcase a new radiator setup.

Ive heard much about a 350z based coupe but if its baged renault it gets velsatis/avantime disease.

Bring back alpine and gordini!

Yeah it will fit, it might take a bit of buggering about as the distance between the turbo and the throttle body is quite big. The meg has a Huuuuge crumple zone at the front of the car so theres about 10 inches of nothingness behind the bumper, that actual engine bay is only a bit bogger than a clio

I read in a french magazine that Carlos Ghosn wanted to take more profit of F1 success, so we might expect some more hot cars in the future!

I dont know why they havent held off on the final production and done something special with the final ones – up the power and figures a fair bit more and stick it in the Benneton blue with a F1 World Champions 2005 plaque on it.
