V6 Water temperature gauge

Do all of you V6 drivers have the water gauge needle jumping all the time? Mine goes up and down all the time. Sometimes it shoots way up but never passes the redline, but once the fan turns on it comes back down, is there a problem?

could be a faulty coolant temperature sensor. id get it checked out, it could be making the fan come on when it doesnt need to be on.

Mine comes up to temperature and stays at that point, never moves winter or summer.

Mines the same as Johns... Never Never goes anywhere near the Red!!!

thats what i thought. every other car ive driven just goes to a point and stays there. i will get it checked out
