Valeting Products Help!!!

  197 Cup (JAWS)
Hi

Shortly I will be picking up my Glacier White Cup and I want the very best advice on what products I should use for valeting it.

I need products for the paintwork, pressure wash liquid, alloy wheel cleaner.

Can you please link what you use. I have halfords just up the road so will take a butchers to see if they have the listed products.

Thanks for your help guys

Cheers

Stuff from Halfords...

couple of buckets, Wash mitt (meguiars)
NXT car shampoo
AutoGlym SRP and EGP, maybe the new wax that AG have out?
Megs Clay Kit
Drying Towel of some sort..
Foam pads, Megs Microfibre cloths...

Online, there is a whole new world lol

Just using Halfords you will be able to get most of what you need though for a few items you would be better shopping online as the Meguiars Drying Towels and Microfiber cloths are over priced and at best average down to actually known to cause damage to you paint - there drying towels.

In Store:

Meguiars Golf Class Wash or Zymol Shampoo
Meguiars Clay
Meguiars Scratch X
Autoglym Super Resin
Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection

Additional bit from online stores.

Decent Microfiber and drying towel
Foam Hand Pads
Decent Carnuba Wax

  Shed.
Go visit Cleanyourcar.co.uk

Definately start out with -

Meguirs Shampoo Plus (Gold class is a bit harsh when it comes to wax)
A decent Wax such as DODO Juice Hard Kandy or Victoria Collectors perhaps.. ???
Sonus Der Wunder - Drying (big blue cloths) polishing (green ones) and the buffing (white ones) towels.....
Blue Pearl applicator pads for the SRP

In Halfrauds -

Meguirs Foam hand Pads for the wax..
Meguirs Washmitt (lambswool or Microfibre)
Autoglym Super resin Polish
Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection

Obviously youll need -

2 buckets
A decent wheel brush

If your using a Powerwasher (Karcher) Buy a Foam lance from Cleanyourcar.co.uk and some super snow foam, and a bottle of chemical guys Maxi suds 2 for mixing with the snowfoam.

Its an expensive hobby btw. Once you pop the fun dont stop.

Working by hand and off the shelf there is no other real option apart from overly harsh stuff.

Whats good for removing Tar and buildup off the alloys, not that it will make much difference with them being black
