valver clutche noise

Was on my way home from work today car was fine
I stoped outside my house and when i put it in Reverse and start to let go of the clutche somthink start making a noise from the engine bay

It only dose this in reverse any ideas what the problem mit be

Hello,

Sounds like you may have a loose gear linkage, the noise would come from directly under the gearstick around 4-5inchs forward and would sound like a penny in a small metal cup being shaken.
