Valver Dodgy Idleing...

When engine is cold, the car Idles irratically, and sometimes cuts out, What is the likely cause + How much to fix it?


I'm looking at buying a car with the above problem, just hoping its not too much to fix...

ISCV, MAP sensor, TPS, CTS, could be alot of things!!

as above really, a new ISCV isnt cheap, coolant temp sensors are, TPS isnt, not sure on MAP sensor

most of the above would be available from some of the specialist breakers like Mat Brown, Infinicar, or LTR in Bury etc etc

Lamba sensor, £10 2nd hand

IF the revs dip down and then rev back up, and repeat, and when you drive off it will bog down ands then suddenly pick up, just does it when cold.....lamba, double check when you take it out, if it rattles its fooked
