Valver insurance

Would a 17 year old girl be able to get insured on a Valver?? ive seen a few people on here have got them as first cars, but surely it would cost a fortune to insure??

If youre willing to pay then shouldnt be a problem. But it will probably cost a fortune!

yeh i was just hoping it would be manageable for a girl, but i guess it wont, were looking at a 106 xsi then it seems, just thought as quotes are cheaper for girls it might be ok

I know a girl who has had one as her first car at 17. Think she paid £900 or something like that.

Bit of a powerfull car for a 17 year old though!

a 106 1.4 xsi is a pretty fast car aswel

around rsi pace so will be high insurance group aswel, group 10 i think xsis are


just ring around and see what u can get, try confused.com first of all 2 c what kinda quotes u may get

yeh weve managed to get a good quote for an Xsi, very good cars (i used to have one) but its difficult trying to find a good xsi now as they are pretty rare, so i thought of the valver, bit of a step up i know, but she really loves the 16v

yeh it is a bit powerful for a first car, shes used to fast cars so she should hopefully be ok

Well i was 18 when i got my valver and girls are supposed to be more mature so she should be ok.

You might have to try a few places but shell deffo get insured no probs. Theyre only group 12 too.

yeah i have mine as a 1st car, but im 22, paying a smidge over a grand, but at 17, is it really a good idea? there is plenty of poke, and can be easily abused!

yeh can be easily abused im sure, but shes pretty sensible, and is used to fast cars so shouldnt be a problem

mind you...looking at some of the threads on Valvers in "clio discussion" it seems they arnt the most reliable of cars! even if they are great fun

Yours was off the road for about a month I seem to remember.

Gotta get a Monaco blue one if she gets a valver.

same with any car, just check the history, and look for the obvious signs, any car can be reliable!
