valver or rsi?

Car  BMW M135i & E46 M3
hi, thinkin about gettin an engine conversion in my mk1 1.4.... was just wondering what engine was better/faster, valver or rsi?
cheers!

Valver all day dude.
valver is 1.8 16v and the rsi is 1.8 8v. did in my old 1.4 bolted an entire 16v subframe and running gear on you'll love it when its done.

for cost, go valver - can get an engine for very little :D

williams bits are a lot more expensive :( - though the conversion is pretty much the same

Consider a williams track too ;) - might need 16v arches though

Rsi if u want to blast around town. If ur looking for good straight speed, of course a valver ;)

goes without saying winston.
Cost all depends on what you pic the engine up for (peanuts) and then whos gonna do the conversion. I did it myself!

ok cheers, well i was going to do the conversion with a mate..know of any valver engines going cheap then?

i saw a ex cup valver engine on piston heads few weeks back.

been rebuilt and blueprinted 3000miles ago.

going for £250

i think its been taken off buddy can't seem to find it.

i'd put a wanted up on there he might get in touch, he said if he doesnt sell it its off in his garage for spares.
