Valver Rear Lights HELP PLEASE

Had new left rear fitted after someone went into back of me and bumper repaired. Seems less smoked than the old one and the right one. Are their two types or would my right one just be dirty inside?

Whats everyone elses like and anyone else found this when they have replaced a lens. Mines a 96 N reg Phase 2 by the way.

im pretty sure the later lights are slightly smoked mate,but i could be wrong

is it defo a ph2 rear light?

ph1 & ph2s were different

Definately a phase 2. Exactly the same but reverse and idicator lenses are a clearer plastic. Not sure if its just cuz old one on right may be sh*tty inside but doubt they get much crap in there. Raining here so dont wanna be fiddling with lights and cleaning tonight. Will probably go back to Renault tomorrow but my local dealer isnt the most helpful.

There does tend to be different shades, same with the phase 1s.
Is it a 16v one you fitted?
That might be the difference.
