valver Throttle Body

my potentiometer has been acting up, so iv bought a 2nd hand throttle body with the potentiometer and iscv all attatched.

is there anything i can have done to it at all, like porting before i fit it? would it be worth it?

Also it needs a damn good clean, what should i be using to clean it with?

Dont think theres anything you can do, so long as its matched to the inlet manifold. Just use some carb cleaner it will strip any crap off it.

clean with anything from carb cleaner to white spirits.

You can reprofile the entry taper and the bifurcation, teh spindles you can narrow within reason (if you want to replace the screws or not), knife edge it (careful not to open up a gap between plate and bore) the make sure the entry lip inside the airbox isnt obtrusive.
