VCAR??

  1998 BMW e46 323i
'Vehicle Condition Alert Registered vehicle (insurance write-off)

*VCAR status remains with the vehicle for the rest of its life, regardless of it being repaired and checked to be of a safe standard. Inclusion on the VCAR register does not indicate that the vehicle has been repaired.'

Anyone had any dealings with a car that's V status? Confuses me

as I understand its another way of saying HPi listed. So can be stolen recover or accident damaged. I.e. the insurance has paid out the total value of the car.

Vehicles are often siginificantly cheaper but do have a stigma attached to them
