Very Confused (Apex Suspension Kits)

  The Beast MK4

Ok folks I have a 99 1.2 Grande and im looking to go down 60mm on an Apex suspension kit. A few peeps I know (R3OBC, Clio16v and AJR) have or had these kits on their 1.2 however on several sites it states that it doesnt fit 1.2 models. The site I will be purchasing from http://www.motorsportworld.co.ukwww.motorsportworld.co.uk dont state this however the following do.

Anyone have any ideas why this is so?

I would give motor sport world a ring on monday mate, always found them VERY helpful and knoledgable in my past dealings with them.

Alternativly get the application list off Apexs website, and the cross refernce to the part numbers

Yes will do mate. The second link is the Apex list and according to them the one I want and the one the lads have (60mm) is only for 1.4 and 1.6. Im going to take the car up anyway but I just cant understand how it says that on several sites and yet folks on here have it.

has to be the 52mm bolt spacing for the BB0A (your car)

afaik the apex kit doesnt fit, as im sure i tried to order a kit from MSW and was told it wouldnt fit - only rear alternative was coilovers, or a spax kit with adjustable dampers.

The problem is that Mk2 phase 1 Clios like yours can sometimes have the 52mm spaced hubs and you need a 52mm kit to fit it or you need to buy some 58mm spaced hubs and then most kits will fit it.

R3OBCs uses the 58mm hub IIRC thats why his fits, he got his from me @ Motor World, did him a good price but they took ages to deliver, bloody factory workers in Holland too busy gettin stoned than to put an order together

Right where could I source these 58mm spaced Hub kits as I really want to go for the Apex Kit.

And cheers for the quick replies peeps

it would be cheaper getting a different suspension kit mate rather than getting the hubs just so you can fit the Apex kit, i could understand it if it was for something like H&R or Eibach, but most of the cheaper kits are fairly similar in quality really

I see what you mean its just that the Apex was the one I budgeted for. Spax adjustable sounds good. Area around me is pretty rough so I could slam it and raise it on occasion.

Will save a few more pennies then. Cheers again folks :D

Brun... sorry to hijack the thread.. but im after the apex kit. I think itll fit due to me having the 1.6 16v 2005 model (so a ph2mk2) what sort of price are we looking at from you ?

europerformace do em at 269.99 i believe the non sport 60mm drop kit.

the guy at europerformance said it would fit... not sure of my hub spacing or what i should be measuring tho.
