Past few weeks I'm having serious issues watching any videos online from YouTube etc. They just constantly buffer. It's taking several minutes to watch several seconds.
This happens to me on the ipad. But I turn the PC on and have no problems. Seriously slow streaming on the ipad
I also had this once on my PC and this is how I sorted it. I live in an apartment complex so there are numerous wifi signals flying about which could have been conflicting. So what I did was change the channel (frequency) to another one. Factory setting is 6 iirc and I set it to 11. Problem sorted. If you know how to access your router settings on your browser that is.
Also worth deleting all cookies, history etc. CCleaner is a very good program that I use. Iirc when watching/streaming videos you are actually downloading it. Albeit on a temporary folder but still.
Make sure you get/got the program from a trusted source like cnet.downloads.
Once you get it you have a checklist of folders you want to clean/delete. Revise them carefully. I have deleted in the past over 2gb of shizzle (cookies, temporary files etc).
Your service provider might've throttled your internet, could be a number of reasons. The ISP your connected to could have a large amount of other users connected to this and might be slow due to their usage too or, you've hit your monthly usage limit and they've capped your download limit by slowing down your speed. Some providers do this instead of charging you for going over your monthly usage limit, some charge too. You say it's also happening to other connected network items, so either of the above maybe true. Best ring your network service provider and ask them why it's slow.
