Guys, apologies in advance, I know there have been multiple threads on this subject. I HAVE read them all, but am still in need of a bit of advice. What i do gather from the other threads is that
* Lowering by more than 30mm spoils handling
* Springs can prematurely ruin dampers if not matched
* Eibach springs are the preferred choice.
The questions i have are as follows
The standard 172 dampers are sports dampers anyway, therefore am i correct in assuming that they can handle uprated springs more effectively??
Would you recommend the use of bump stops?
I am running my 03 reg 172 on 17" Speedline Turinis. I am planning to fit -25mm GMAX springs. Can i adjust the torsion beam to close my wheel arch a little more than 25mm... i.e. 30mm
Soz for the length guys, just wanna make sure Im doing the right thing!
Cheers, Rick
