I had one on my old clio and thought it was fantastic with the cold air feed in the front bumper, take that away and it seemed very poor id say worse than an open cone filter.

Crapola!!!!! Made my Cup a dog, full of flat spots through out the rpm range etc. Its also shockingly made, when cleaning out the throttle body there was grit in there.......

And there is no such thing as a ff 172. Its either a 172, or a 172 cup. The end.

grit trapped in oil from the breather pipe in the inlet, but it must be drawn in through the filter no?

chap had 1 before a rr and made only 160bhp

i got itg panal filter and made 168bhp

just get itg or save n get the itg system

im having trouble refitting my old airbox because of the cold air feed that sits at the bottom i cant get it back into place as the light unit and back are in the way any ideas??? also i noticed on the adapter/bend between the throttle boddy and the filter there was a very small amount of oil, this cant be good can it ????

This is more common than you may think. But nothing to worry about.

Its fine, its just oil mist coming up the breather and condensing on the bend. Completely normal.
