Vista Home Premium wont allow scanner !!

I have been given a Dell A810 scanner,plugged it in,loaded the disc and my PC tells me that it can't be used with this version of Vista !! ARGGGH :S

Is there any way l can get it to work or do l need a new scanner ?

You tried installing it without the disc, i.e. letting Windows install it itself?

You need Windows 7.

Or

Visit Dell's support pages to see if there is a download for that hardware.
