vvt pulley noise

Hi all,

Im having a strange problem with my ph1 172 (now with a 182 stock engine)

The intake pulley insists in making that weird noise only when the vvt solenoid its connected and only above 1500rpm.

i´ve tested two pulleys (one from my old engine that was working fine and one from a friend of mine), the noise its the same.

when i´ve tried out other vvt solenoid, the sound continued, but in a different way...

could it be a problem with the oil pressure in the cylinder head?! or could the vvt solenoids be broken?!

anyone had a similar issue??

Is it a really Tappy noise? Like noisy lifters?

yes, but when vvt solenoid its unplugged, it idles and revs perfectly !! no noises, vibrations, misfires, nothing

yeah, i didnt use the locking tools! i know, dont need to say anything im sure you right
