Sorry because it's not a clio..
My mums old banger, VW Golf, 2000 cabrolet thing, 2.0petrol.
She's had it for years and it's been 100% reliable other than this issue which she has had for the last year or so.
It starts fine if it has been raining etc, but as soon as she goes through a puddle it just completely cuts out, no bogging down or anything. It then won't start again for a while, can be bump started once its been left for a little while (once its dried out i assume).
Any ideas??
