w800i analog stick problem...

Anyone elses w800 analog stick started playing up yet, i knew it would be a matter of time as my old k750i did it after about 6 months, then every month after that it was in getting fixed. I was hoping that the w800 was different but nope, started playing up after only 3 months use, wtf

This suks, might have to switch to nokia when its time to upgrade, or when i can afford the n92 on sim free.

join the club pal, im sick to the back teeth of my k750, its the worst phone ive ever had in my life, it is a good phone when working ok but most of the time it isnt so...

im for doing an insurance job then selling the new one, back to samsung for me i think, my little e720 is bombproof, been down a bog the lot an it still works

The stick on my d750 was ok until about 3 weeks ago when all the buttons started to feel very "crunchy" I put it down to something getting stuck under the keyboard membrane.. I'll take it apart when I can be arsed, but I'm too busy getting my spectrum emulator to work on it for now to care

Well, I dont want to take the thread too far off topic but since playing gameboy games on my d750 through an emulator, I've been working on a spectrum emulator for the k750, d750.. k700.. w800 w850 and possibly many other java phones (must have the 3d chip to be anywhere near fast enough though).. Of course when ive got something running you are welcome to have a play.

Must be a fault with the SE's I suppose.. Got a K700i here, had it 2 years and the joystick has just decided to stop working properly...

Nothing runs yet, its still in early stages, getting the cpu to run, etc. It'll probably be quite playable, certainly enough to keep me amused I'll let you know when i have a beta. PM me or summat.

The sticky joystick is not actually a fault as such, its the built up of shite etc - to fix properly you need to take phone apart and clean with contact spray. although if your lucky you may be able to fix with the phone assembled.

Remove battery. spray contact spray around the joystick and move in all directions. Wait 30 secs for the spray to dry and do this a further 3 or 4 times.

This has been known to cure! but make sure you use the right spray!!
