Weve got something to get the power down with, weve a company which produces the best brakes [ AP ] now all we need is a company that can tune the 172s to match !........anybody ?

Try Quaife.

The ATB diff is amazing, especially on over powered front wheel drive cars, pulls the front end around beautifuly.

I would definately get one if i was to modify the Williams, i have one on my 205 and it is brilliant.

I managed to get one for £350 new, but they are around £500 new.

can you help source one for my cup at £350?

Unfortunately Quaife don’t sell an ATB diff for any Clio! but I have sent them an email regarding their future plans.

I managed to get the ATB for the 205 cheap as they sponsor my mate’s 205-challenge car. If Quaifes response is possitive I will ask if he can get a couple of units at a discounted price. I will keep you informed.

How about a 300bhp clio 172 turbo??? (speak to k-tec)

The response from Quaife, ( took about 20 mins! )

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your enquiry.

Unfortunately, we have looked at this differential before and it was decided it would not be possible for us manufacture this unit. Does the new
Clio run on the same gearbox? If you would like us to quote on a batch run (minimum of 20 units) we would be happy to look again and
re-assess the possibilities, but we would require you to send us a sample diff from that gearbox.

Should you have any further questions, please contact me.

Just incase any of you are interested,I queried the difficulty and here is his response:

"The design of the original diff makes it a very complicated job to get our internal design to fit within the size limit".
