The first issue was that after a few minutes of driving the other day, the zigzag electrical fault light came on and the car went into limp mode. Pulled into a car park, switched the car off and on again and it was fine. It's been fine for a few days now, but earlier it came on again - switched off and on but the light stayed on. Then a few hours later when I was leaving, the electrical fault light came on, but so did the engine management light. Car still idles fine and everything, but was in limp mode.
Limped it to a garage, they read the codes and said there were about 4 or 5, but reckon the one relating to the lights points to throttle potentiometer/throttle body assembly/circuitry. Also, on the way home I noticed I can no longer use cruise control or speed limiter - pressing the switches does nothing, and it no longer pops up 'SET ----' when cycling through the trip computer...can't actually remember if it was like this before or after the faults/they plugged it in though as I hardly use it - likely to be connected at all?
After a search I discovered it could be multiple things to do with the pedal and it's various sensors, or the throttle body itself etc. so could end up being trial and error, but I'm mainly confused about the cruise control dissapearing and if it's related! Any thoughts on either problems appreciated.
