If i put £38 of optimax in i will get near 380 miles. Normally 37-38 mpg according to comp. Just had it serviced and its currently on 40 after 2 days driving.

problem is it depends on what sort of trips you do, in the mornings when its busy a 10min trip takes me 1 hour, so my mpg is crap usually about 28mpg not to bad considering the conditions, but when i do long journeys without alot of traffic the most i got was 46mpg (taking it really steady though) its funny though as when you put your foot down you can see the mpg go down !!!

Mine was 34.7. Unil I had it serviced by Renault. Now it gone down to 34.3 MPG

Clio 172 (53 plate) - 9200 miles

Does between 29-31mpg, according to trip computer. Dont rag it but I tend to drive round towns etc. Do about 150 miles a week and put in £20-25!!

Has anyone else noticed that if you reset your trip computer the mpg drops to sub 20mpg until youve driven a while then it seems to go back to the average.

i got my clio 172 yesterday and filled it up i used half a tank and only done 130 miles only got about 28mpg but i love the car so im not bothered

23mpg, thats over two tankfuls - two motorway journeys, and some longish A-road trips. Got 17mpg over 30 litres last week

I get about 300-350 miles to the tank, depending on how i drive.

Trip computer says 34-35 mpg.

comparing this to a MK1 golf GTi i used to own, which was 24.1 mpg!

It was only a 1.8i, but it had a rally cam.

I might as well get a 172,

i have a 1.2 16v and my mpg is 30.5 over approx 3k miles & im getting about 250-300 miles out of a full tank (costing about £37 at 82.9p a litre)

So far ive done 145miles and used 3 quarters of a tank, anyone spot a problem?

You either have a very heavy right foot, do a lot of miles stuck in traffic, or your Clio has a problem!

Ive got a 1.4 Dynamique and itll return about 42mpg average, 50mpg cruising at 70mph and about 32-35 stuck in traffic.

The worst MPG I ever got was 26mpg when I was stuck in traffic through Paris for about 6 hours, 35 degrees with the Air Con on max!!

Well.... most of my driving is "urban". I admit have a heavy right foot in first & 2nd but not 3rd, 4th or 5th.

I get stuck in traffic every morning & evening to n from work... so i guess these are factors? i also have 17s and exhaust and air filter, i guess all this must cause it? should i get renault to have a look ?

i get about 40mpg crusing at 70mph, no more! its annoyin!

optimax only, 26-27mpg which is about 250 miles till the light comes on.

mostly short journeys to work and back which is 3 mile away, only do about 500 miles a month...

Ive had it as low as 10mpg (dont ask) and as high as 45ish MPG.

I do a lot of short trips, so my average MPG is about 26-7mpg. On motorways that jumps up to the mid 30s

55mpg my adverage is after 36k.

Ive had as low as 37mpg on spirited driving andseen as high as 82 before I totally got bored.

I try never lft the car go lower than 1/2 tank though.

44ish mpg on the trip computer. Does about 400 miles to £30ish (1.2 16v, 04, 14k miles)

Cant really remember on the Williams - but 320 to a tank rings a bell? Havent driven it for a full tanks worth for ages lol
