ouch, even sony had it as 1080p and 60fps on their website!

Updated story: Sony has pulled the claim that Watch Dogs will run at 1080p and 60 frames per second on PS4.

The official PlayStation website no longer mentions a specific resolution or frame rate.

Ubisoft has yet to comment or confirm the technical specifications of Watch Dogs on any platform.

Original story: Watch Dogs will run at 1080p and 60fps on PS4, according to Sony.

On the PlayStation website's Watch Dogs page, Sony urges fans to experience Watch Dogs in a way that "only PS4 can provide".

"The world of Watch Dogs comes alive on PS4 with the best graphics on any console and exclusive missions found only on PlayStation," reads the website.

"Hack everything as you make your way through Chicago's underground as you experience Watch Dogs in a way that only PS4 can provide, at 60 Frames Per Second in 1080p."

Ubisoft is yet to confirm official Watch Dogs specs across all platforms, although creative director Jonathan Morin previously said that Xbox One and PS4 versions would run at 30fps.

The PS4 and PS3 versions also contain an additional 60 minutes of exclusive content in the form of bonus missions.

After undergoing thousands of changes, Ubisoft believes it will be among the best-selling games of the year and will become a blockbuster brand.

i can't wait to see how accurate the city is having lived there, but I'm a little worried that the online element is integrated, look what happened when GTAV was launched.......

The more I see of the game, the more I don't think I'd not bother buying it if there were other games out.

Cliche hacker main character: Check
Leather coats with straps untied: Check
Tattoo-laden alt chick that you're meant to lust after: Yup
Iffy car controls: Looks like it. A Ubisoft favourite
Upscaled last-gen graphics: Oh Ubisoft

Now it's confirmed at 30fps for new hardware. Not good enough.

I know it was originally a last-ten title, like Titanfall was... but it just looks like a 6/10 game to me.

It's mainly Aiden though... f*cking awful.

I'm definitely with you on this. I am sick of playing games based on a 14 year old's power fantasy with the same old unoriginal protagonists.

Also there are too many similarities with the AC/Far Cry series. You ultimately have the same systems albeit dressed up with different names. My first AC game was AC4 and I was shocked as it was just sodding Far Cry 3. Those landmarks you climb up with the birds nests were just the radio towers renamed etc and I see similar things in Watch Dogs that reminded me of mechanics from Far Cry 3.

My friends have PS4's but like hell am I paying £45 so I can invade their worlds when a PC key is £23 and runs at 1080 60. Especially as if there were loads of other games out I wouldn't even be considering Watch Dogs. Ubisoft are the kings of the "89%" rated game. Good competent titles but they never make anything really amazing.

TBF, Far Cry stole that from the very first AC game.

I'm actually looking forward to this. The only game I've bought since GTA V was Trials Fusion and I got bored of playing that pretty quickly, so could do with something else to keep me occupied for a bit.

Well I've ordered mine for £23 the other day. At that price it's certainly worth a punt either way!

TBH, I think this is going to be an above average game, maybe a 7/8 out of 10 only.

People who have played the beta last week say the shooting is very poor, and several previews have stated the missions are the typical generic repetitive type.

Not only that, but Reddit exposed Ubisoft as sulks if they don't get their own way with review scores. This is probably why the embargo has been placed on the game until launch day. Just trying to squeeze the informed gamers/pre orders now right up until launch.

I'll still be buying, but I'm not sure this is going to be the world beater it set out to be.

I don't think I'll be buying this on release now.
I've been looking forward to it but it's not looking as good as I'd hoped. Graphically, it looks really nice, that rain video you posted looked good, apart from the guy playing it.
I'll wait until it's on offer somewhere cheap.

I'm far from a keen gamer, but I happened to see this and got quite excited (I play GTA and Forza and that's it lol).

It's a shame that it doesn't quite look like it hits the spot, because it looks very close to an alternative/competitor to GTA. Some of those night-time rain scenes are very atmospheric and moody, very cool.

Got it on preorder for £22, so i'll be happy if it turns out to be less than everyone was expecting.

Still, as DK says, it looks awesome! Cant wait to invade afew of my mates games

Nice, I'm going to buy it.

UBIsoft should be proud as it'll be the first game I've bought on my XBox 360 that isn't GTA or Forza lol.

I thought it had been confirmed that if you bought a Russian copy/foreign copy it would be in their native language and you cannot change it? That's the only reason I am worried about the region.
