You just need VLC player installed and a free program from here. Available for Windows, Mac OS & Linux.

I've tested it and it works perfectly.

i cant get mine to work it comes up with the black screen bit and says what you want to watch , i typed a channel in and pressed enter but nothing happened ?

You can watch most of those channels online without having to download anything at www.tvcatchup.com

Judging by the VLC player error message I received it's something to do with the URL for the channel.

Ok i think it's just Eurosport 2 I wanted that to watch the golf.

There's plenty of services out there now which are great for watching UK & US TV streaming services when you are overseas.
Be careful to pick one though that is fast enough so that it doesnt buffer all of the time, some of the free ones do.
I was using http://www.laptoptelly.com, work well enough. any of them for less than a fiver a month and the connection is usually poor.

TVCatchup is by far the best online system to watch uk tv on, if you are in the uk, but unfortunately ALL VPN services are blocked with it if you are watching overseas, if anyone knows of one that isnt id love to know.
