Water Pump change?

Just wondered how hard it is to change the water pump. As today I've changed the cambelt and the aux belt with my dad. Went to change the water pump but couldn't find a way to get it off. Also when it does come off, it looks like the air con unit has to come off? Is this right, or am I completely missing something like an easier way?

Engine mount off and drop the engine down, remove and refit via the wheel well.

We tried that but couldn't get enough room to get it off. Even after removing the front bumper and drivers headlight. Do you have any tips?

Try harder. Takes about 15/20 minutes to do it once you've dropped the engine down onto the subframe.

You need the lower cambelt cover off makes it easier.
if your doing it at the same time its easy.

Its bloody tight mate but trust me it does come out.
Ive done mine but all i remember is i think it came ut up side down inside out kind of way.

Oh and i didnt touch anything to do with my cam belt covers.

If there's nothing wrong with it, leave it alone. They don't go wrong until disturbed and its always replacement pumps that cause issues
