Just chatting on our local car forum & having a discussion with a mate on there about Collinite 476 he reckons it will last a year

I'm very skeptical that ANY wax could last a year.

Thoughts people?

Trust me . It doesn't last a year . I use the collinite 845 insulator wax , just as good as the 476 but hell of alot easier to apply and remove . And that doesn't last a year either . Both do last a long time though .

Although Superguard and Diamond Brite have a lifetime guarantee....or not!!

I think a year is a bit extreme, not one I use so can't comment. 3 - 6 months is possible with Megs #16.

Cheers, I thought about 3-6 months absolute tops, I suppose it does depend on the weather conditions & how frequently you clean it.

I managed to still be getting good beading on a Kangoo van after 4 months with Collinite 476s and it is a piece of piss to use, you are likel to top it up every few months anyway.
I have just puirchased some Megs #16 £4.45 off ebay brand new bargain!!! (after Alan banged on about it) to see how it compares so will let you know

I prefer the soft and milky double wax - AliAlan leaves me feeling it for days ...

It was a private sale sorry i would have bought a few more if it wasn't lol , theres a guy on ebay usa for collinite iirc i got 2 tins of 476 (he does 845too) and if you buy 2 he only charges one postage $11 postage and $15 iirc for each of the collinite around £20 all in and delivered in 5 days too. Guys user name is Esquier He has some collinite stuff for boats im tempted to buy some and see how it lasts compared to 476 must be good as boats spend their life in water might be worth a punt

^^^ Nice one Just ordered some of the boat wax from that guy . Should be good for the wheels if nothing else £26.23 for 2 delivered from the US , cheap as chips I've ordered the Collinites #885 and #925 .

When i went to pay in paypal there was no option for the discount for 2 items at $11.00 then i had to go to work so left it until i got in from work this morning . When i checked my email , the guy had already refunded me $11.00 so happy days . I got both Collinites , delivered for £20.46 from the US . Happy days :clap:

Nice One , The guy is sound remember let us know how good it is looks wise i imagine the durability will be better than 476
