Did you get it done at the weekend, How did it go ?
Hi, thanks for asking.
Washed and clayed the car (minimal need to clay it, cannot believe just how long the EGP and #16 has lasted since I did it in late summer!!) and then applied the Car Lack window care kit to the windows.
Have to say, the Car Lack care kit is well worth the money and only took a half hour to do it all properly. I drove all the way to work this morning in heavy rain and didn't need the wipers, genuinely, the windscreen was clear it beads that well. Be interesting to see the durability.
As for the polishing, I spent all afternoon watching the rain clouds and cold and umming and ahhing. In the end the desire to play with my G220 (!) got the better of me. I practised for the first time with a sonus correction spot pad on the boot on the basis that if it was too cold or rained, that's not the end of the world and only a small area.
After 20 minutes of using Menzerna IP, beginning on speed 3 and working in with speed 5, my god what a difference. I felt like a proper muppet having done in 20 minutes what I couldn't do in a day by hand to remove the scratches. Even before Menz FF, SRP, EGP and #16 (or P21s) it has made the world of difference. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to do paint correction on a reasonable level. Even though it was cold and I was using the 'new' formula of Menz IP, it broke down and was removed easily enough.
I can't wait to do the rest of the car now, wish my garage wasn't full of sh* now!
