Oi! I've done 12 feet in it so far. That's more than you'll do before you get bored/fed up with it and sell up!
Each mile you do though should be pretty special.
Because reasons.Where's that thread gone where you wanted a toy but definitely didn't want a kit/westfield style car again?
Typical CS.
First drive...
It's near impossible to find first gear. Reverse or third are easy though....
It goes like f**k, seems to rev forever!
8 year old Avon tyres don't work, at all.
It wants to go left on braking.
Lots to do then!
Find out how to adjust a type 9 so selecting first is easier than selecting reverse! The whole gear assembly is vauge and it doesn't self centre! And i have all the suspension setup and mod ideas you could ever want ;-)
My setup became legendary across the north once my car was sold up that way

Looks like you're weekend car is for tinkering, not for driving! Will be ace when you're finished. Well done you.First drive...

In bits already.
Can't decide on wheels. Currently has 185/60/14's on. I wanted 185/60/13's but I think they'll lower it too much.
I am. Gearbox isn't in it anymore!Stop messing around with wheels and focus on making it driveable!
Nothing but I wanted to check it over. There was a misting of oil all over it. This looks like its from an over fill. Going to strip the linkage off it this week. I have a feeling its missing a saddle bush. I'll probably fit a couple of brass ones. What's up with the box ??
You can go 13" no problem , i could just about run 8 inch rears but more normal is 7 rear and 6 front.

I'm not building a track weapon though. Just something to slither around in on a Sunday. If you can go 7 on the rear , 6 looks a bit silly
You're not on big power as 165 is fairly mundane in them and it won't take long to get used to .
When you get north of 220 it's interesting as don't forget it has the aerodynamics of a brick .
For road work the 3.62 diff is ok but if you work out where the power is on the k series and the ratios you would proberbly work out top is pretty redundant
Who built the box and which ratios did they use ,
My guess is it's a bgh semi synchro long first pro box as it's a decent box Brian builds for a good price
I can proberbly help you not waste money or spend twice
Oh and i hate k series engines having owned a few

MB Racing make 3 piece split rims, so you can get the offset and the width right.
The ones I had on my mini.
