weight of a carbon bonnet

Car  182 clio cup, ford puma,
does any one know the weight of a carbon bonnet for a 182, or even the weight o a standard bonnet
cheers

i have carbon bonnet on my 182 i can say that it took two people to remove the old one safely without dropping, and i fitted the carbon one on my own as it was that light.

some people have said approx 6kg lighter. i would say the carbon one weighs 2-3kg max.

Depends on the bonnet, some weigh the same as a standard bonnet, some are much lighter... no two carbon bonnets are equal, lol.

Main thing is it lowers the centre of gravity.

ditto that^^ car feels a lot more responsive on cornering and has sharper turn in due to lower centre of gravity.

A carbon bonnet that isn't any lighter wouldn't do anything.

As to whether one that is actually lighter lowers the centre of gravity? If it was a carbon fibre roof panel maybe. Have you considered the possibility that why it improves turn in is that it reduces weight at the front of the car where that would most affect turn-in. And you could get a similar effect by relocating the battery backwards and downwards.
