Weight of stripped and caged clios

Hi,

I'm just looking for a poll on weights of stripped and caged clios, along with a brief spec of whats missing/added/lightened, but please only if you have had it on a weighbridge or cornerweights, no guesses!

Cheers

Cheers guys, The Mk1s are really light! Mines a Ph2 Mk2 non cup 172, stripped, caged, aircon deleted on 15" ph1 alloys.

R-Sport, is that the gold one in your avatar? Thats very light for a mk2 from what I can gather on here, what did you do to save the weight?

My PH1 is stripped out - two front seats, no speakers or stereo, non-aribag steeringwheel, no cage though. With the paperwork that came with an MOT test said it was 860kg. Not sure how accurate that is though, but seeing as people are coming up with similar figures for theirs I am happy to say it is a pretty good reading.

  172 Cup & K20 Ph1
I'll take mine down to the weigh bridge over the next few weeks... that's completely stripped, caged, fibreglass everything (including doors), polycarbs, etc.

Cheers gents. Bloke, is yours mk1 or mk2?

KitsonRis, I guess that will be the addition of the axle weights from the brake tester and therefore wont be particularly accurate, but indicative anyway!

rdoxenham, what did yours start out life as?

  dan's cast offs.
ph2 cup, not mine it's in for some work. i reckon there is another 20kg that could be lost on it and that's before you think about carbon/fibreglass panels.

Oh hai Al hows things? Dunno if you've seen ours on FB or if Kev has mentioned it to you but we'll hopefully get the weight soon. 182 shell with 6 point oreca cage and ph1 everything fitted to it. Proper mongrel of a car!

Hi John, hows tricks?

Yeah I've seen various clios doing the rounds on Fb :p I'm just curious to know if I can get it on the trailer! Looks encouraging so far!

Bloke: Thanks for that, that sounds very encouraging, I need it to be under 1000 with track wheels, tyres and full of fuel ideally. Anything less than that means I might manage weight for a tyre rack
