Weighted analysis?

Right this is doing my head in.

Ive got 5 designs (design 1,2,3,4 and 5) and five criteria (Torsional stiffness, stress, mass, cost, ease of manufacture)

Ive marked the 5 designs (1 to 5) for each criteria. But heres the thing, some of the criteria are more important than others, so Ive weighted them (1-5) Ie

Torsional stiffness - (most important)
stress
mass
cost
ease of manufacture - (least)

ive got all this in excel, but how the f**k do I show which design comes out best??

Perhaps multiply the result (a) by the weighting (x) to produce a score for each, then add them together for each product?
