weird noise at high revs (Mk1 RS 172)

Hi All,

I bought my car about 2 months ago and now getting familiar with it.

Of course I met with Mr. torque steering first.

My problem is that a weird noise is coming out of the engine at high revs esp above 5000 rpm just like a whistle. I know VVT is becoming active after about 5000 rpm, is that the reason?

Induction noise maybe? I get it on my clio even though its got standard filter.

no not induction, I can easily differ it from the others, induction is the station I listen to the most

it wont be VVT, VVT comes in at about 1,500rpm iirc

sounds like its an induction noise to be honest, but im no expert

if vvt comes in at about 1500, why the car is getting crazy exactly after 5000 rpm. You can easily feel it pushes harder after 5000 rpm.
