Welded bar for Harnesses?????

  TrackCar & F30 330d
I stole the picture from Kyle Lew, hope he doesnt mind.
I'm trying to find somewhere to go to get a bar welded in so i can attach my harnesses to.
Anyone know where i could get one made and put in, or what type or bar i should use?

Well the problem (as i see it) seems to be the steel that you would bolt too/weld too is 1.5mm thick and isn't strong enough to support the weight of two people flying forward in a crash!

The above bar looks a bit of show lol? is it CDS? or just polished cheap chrome pipe?

My old harness bar was in the same place but it was attached to a FIA approved 12 point weld in cage made out of 45mm CDS. lol.

I cant really afford a full cage, and dont really like attaching the harnesses to the seat belt holes and they are not straight (proabably fine tho).
So a welded bar would be perfect.

call up custom cages and get a lenght of 45mm CDS then go to a steel shop and buy some 2-3mm steel plate.

make it like that (if it makes sense) so you can put a plate behind the arch too to take the force on inpact.. as bolts will just rip through the shitty 1.5mm shell.
