well chuffed!

i just got two 0-60 times this morning in my 1.6 16v mk2 ph2

7.82 and 8.36 book time is supposed to be 9.6! well pleased!

mate of mine with a stopwatch, bit iffy, but we did it twice n got those times. its easy to tell wen u hit 60 in my car, same as others, coz it hits limiter in 2nd at 59/60

to be honest with you, i wouldnt even contemplate thinking about the 7382 time, would be well out, as for the 8.36, again, arguable, id still say it will reach 60 in around 8.8-9.0 unless modded, even still, doesnt take much time off the actual time

Frosty is an expert on this subject I think.

Youll never get a correct without the correct equipment. If that was the case my VTR was 6 secs and the EVO2 was 3 secs. I think not.

alright ppl, no need to bite my head off! did say it was iffy, although cant see where the error would come from? the stopwatch was accurate, starting and stopping when the car starts and hits 60 cant be rocket science, and the speedo isnt gona be that inaccurate that it would affect the time more than 0.1 or so can it? i must be wrong though since it couldnt possibly be that much faster thanbook time

(ill let you decide whether or not the last sentence is sarcasm, im not sure myself)

The speedo could be as much as 6MPH out at 60 - so to get a reasonably accurate time, stop the stop watch at 66 and then look at the reading - its then probably closer to the book time.
