Westminster Abbey at night

So the wife and I were incredibly lucky to get a private tour at Westminster Abbey tonight. The chap who took us around was amazing, and as we both love history it made it even better.

I took my DSLR along but it was very shoot from the hip whilst being whisked around unfortunately and I definitely needed a tripod so the pictures aren't the best.

It's a truly stunning place and standing where un-named soldier is buried in complete silence is quite an experience.

First time I've used the camera for more than a couple of shots in ages, I really need a new one.

Great shots there pal. Churches are really interesting places of you can get behind the scenes. My son who's 11 visited Sheffield cathedral with the school the other week and when I asked how it was he said boring. He then spent half an hour telling me about it!

I've done a 1 day 1 to 1 course but forgot most of it now!

Yep, picked up a minter with grip for less than £400 earlier in the year. Brilliant camera!

WTF?

I have no idea what was going on there - apologies.

7D is a good choice, very happy with mine Bit noisy at higher ISOs but good frame rate for action and built nice and sturdy.

If you like doing lots of pics in the dark, Full Frame would be the better option because of the better high ISO results. 6D apparently also excellent at getting focus, even in moonlight sort of conditions.

I've not shot one myself, but if they're anything like the 5DIII then I think you'd be happy

Can I join in the Essex boys photoshoot lol... got no decent pictures of my car yet and have an SLR my girlfriend bought me years back which I've taken a few decent snaps with but don't really know what I'm doing! I'm looking to invest in a new lens soon as only got the standard one at the moment.
