I had the 1.8 16v and then coverted it to the 2.0 16v engine and tbh i didnt fill either up anymore than i do my 182 now really and probably drove them engines harder.

I could tell what mpg i was getting on them but to give you an idea im averaging 34.6 in the 182.

28 - 32 on BP Ultimate in my Williams.

Usually bout 29/30..

Used to get 26 on normal unleaded.

Oh and the performance figures = 7.7 to 60 and a top end between 130-135.

Will take you a while with the 1.8 after 90/100 though.

Good alround cars mate tbh, reliable if you find a good example and keep it looked after too.

my valver is pretty good on fuel tbh. I get about 160 miles on £20 and i give it some sh!t sometimes ;)

  Clio 172 mk2
My old Renault 19 16v which shares the same 1.8 engine as the Clio used to be pretty economical....used to get around 30 mpg on log runs

I can get 300 miles to a tank (about 30mpg) doing over the motorway speed limit pretty much the whole way

I have got about 33-34 a couple of times, but that's only a couple of times as I can't be arsed to faff around at 56mph LoL

Round town 30mpg is still about where it's at :)

I can do 14mpg on track and 45mpg on the m/way (very constant 60mph!)

Average is about 32mpg mostly town driving, little m/way action and A road thrashing.....

i'm touching on 40mpg (38-39 on motorways) and 370-390 a tank...........i'm determined to hit 400miles for the tank.

oh, on a 1991 valver, stock engine with some cams, stock ECU.

indeed that does seem like a hell of a lot,

tomS has said he sometimes gets 350 in his totally stock valver

in mine with a decat and full system i can get around 300 - 320 to a tank, thats mostly a road and town miles

buy one m8, there a minter. I had the Rsi before mine and the valver is much better on fuel. The rsi was quicker through town... but on the open roads... thats another story

i'm 2 lines below half way on the tank so far and on 290 miles.....looking good....just have to do my economy run driving skills for longer.
