What camber and toe setup

  Ph1 T
Going to get the suspension done today and can't remember what I had it set at last time had this done so what do people recommend fast road/track turbo ph1 do push it quite hard on track..

Would neg 2.5 deg camber be too much or about right?

And what to get toe set at?

Help appreciated

2-2.5 camber should be about right. Some people run upto 3 degrees without many problems. Toe would depend on what offset your wheels are I would say. If your running lower than et45, i.e. spacers or something, then I would run about 10-20' toe in.

If you are on a standard offset wheel then about 10-20' toe out would be ideal.

2.5 deg camber and 5 mins toe out give a nice positive feel!

I think what Evogone is probably saying and what I was also going to ask is how does the ET of the wheel affect the amount of Toe out/in you run? I obviously understand the more track width you have the car will have more roll resistance but that wouldn't affect the geo in the way you have said. Maybe i'm missing something :)

Well in a short explaination these clios run negative scrub, which by design creates stability under braking and over bumps due to better loadings blah blah. And so if you increase your front track the scrub becomes positive and then will become slightly unstable when used with lowish castor. I think they handle a little better with parallel or slight toe in if you are running a wider front track.

Also with reference to track and roll resistance, yes it will resist it better but you are also effecting you installation ratio, which means the wider you go the softer you make your suspension :)

Is anyone bored yet? Lol

I was always under the impression that no matter what offset you had on the clio (from the available options) it was always in a positive scrub state? Sorry if I have got that wrong

All the cup chassis cars, or cars with a et45 wheels are in negative. From rough measurements its around 8mm but unsure on that tbh mate. People forget that the king pin angle is also quite high on clios.

Please do mate id like to hear your results as I mostly get a different one everytime I do it! Be interesting to have some comparisons etc. Might have to start another thread though! Apologies to the op for going off topic.

Correct, 45ET Offset in this instance should not make you change from neg to pos toe.........
