Mk5 Clio Rs-Line
I have had the following email regarding my new car. When do you think I will get it?
Rs line Clio in orange. Already have the vin noWhat car have you ordered?
Was ordered November 13. Was a build already in production for the dealership. It was due 3rd jan but they said would be just before. A few days ago was saying delivery imminent. My new car was ordered with a Feb delivery date, got an update before they closed for Christmas...
"Your vehicle status is currently at ‘accepted at factory’ but with no ETA on build week."
Followed by...
"I will be in touch around February / March time, hopefully with some more clarity on lead times, allocated build weeks, and ETA’s."
Good luck!
Seen loads of new 71 plate Vw and other manufacturers. The last few days I’ve seen a Clio non rs line in orange on a 71 plate driving arround my local area.My Mate is a VW tech and he has had a ID3 in the garage for 6months as they cant get a module due to computer chip shortages.
Was telling me that the customer has driven then car less than 600 miles since new
Google suggests Technical Block is applied when it's in the country at the import place. Wonder what it means! Was ordered November 13. Was a build already in production for the dealership. It was due 3rd jan but they said would be just before. A few days ago was saying delivery imminent.
I ordered a new car on the 27th August, no idea when I will get it. Same misleading information from the manufacturer every month which is very frustrating.
My Clio RS Line had a technical block when I bought it in 2019 and it had been delivered to the dealers. again it was a software update and the dealer was able to do the update. @Alastair. can the supplying dealer not do the update?.
I don’t know much about the colour options but I expect ginger might be an extra charge, there might not be many so you may be in luck.Took a drive past the dealership tonight and there was a rsline Clio in Valencia orange outside with no Reg. my last email from the dealer said will update me Tuesday when he is back in. I have a feeling this could be my car
How'd that happen?Date now 20/1
Emailed the dealer to check the date and got this replyHow'd that happen?
Thanks, I need the car as my car is fubar and won’t last much longer. From what I’ve read on various car forums this is happening to dealers all over Europe. Limited info coming from the factories, cars being delayed left right and centre and occasionally cars turning up completely unexpectedly.
I’m sure you’ll get yours soon buddy, I’ve got to wait until July for mine apparently!
Thanks, I believe mine has been built as far as I’m aware. When I placed my order last August I was told to expect delivery end of October 21, Since then the date has changed constantly. Have been told so many times the car will be in production next week I have lost count. Current status is I haven't a clue when it will go into production or when I will get it.
I appreciate we are in the middle of a pandemic but just be truthful with customers and stop stringing them along with empty promises. Omicron wasn't heard of last August so they can't blame it on that.
@Rsline_trev hope you get it on the 20th.
Yep. Would have preferred my car weeks agoThe world has gone f**king mental
Yea glad it’s soon, I think the only reason it’s not taken a day and age is that it was an order already placed by the dealer and it just happens to match the spec I was looking for.My neighbours Orange RS line was delivered in November and hers doesn't have the button either. She was told the same that it would be retrofitted when the chip is available.
As I sat writing this I was in my wife's car and noticed that the drivers door mirror was folded in and the passengers wasn't. So it obviously has the button and up until that point I don't think I have ever used it. Obviously had pressed it by mistake.
Look on the positive side, at least you are in touching distance of getting your car. Enjoy it when you get it, they are a nice specced car.
Many of us who have a car on order haven't a clue when we will get ours.
The issue is a 2nd hand car with 10k miles will cost you more than a new carSo the consensus of this is.....
Cancel all your orders for new cars and buy something 2nd hand instead?
