you "should" replace the plenum (the bit with Renaultsport on it) to inlet gasket, but most never do, you can get away with it

I went to Renault to ask for the plenum gasket as I was removing it to change the plugs, and they looked at me blankly. The Mechanic came out and said "Dont be so silly, you dont need to change it if your just taking it off to change plugs"

Got it greased up before putting it back on.

hi again fred so is that gasket called plenum to inlet gasket or something then? and do you think it be ok to not bother with new 1 or should i use a little instant sealer upon reassembly? regards

they only cost about £3 from renault and you should really change it, but if you can be bothered to go all the way to the dealer for a £3 gasket then go for it!

i wouldn't use instant gasket, not needed
