JC5 129's have a digital impulse sensor fitted in the speedo drive. The JC5 129 is usually fitted to cup's as they dont have ABS. Most 172's speedo drives are powered off the ESP system - this picks up the revolutions from you front driveshaft by the ABS sensor and then gives you your speedo reading - these are JC5 130's.
