What is this bit of plastic?

I was checking under my 2002 172 FF and I found the attached bit of plastic, laying kind of 'inside' the bumper, just rattling arround. It has a Renault part number of 8200071124. Looks like it clips round something and is a splash guard for some part of the engine/gearbox. I've had a look under the car for where it might go but I can't work it out, any one with any idea what it is and where it attaches to the car? I wonder if it was removed when the car was serviced but not clipped back on.

Cheers

It looks like the section of liner which clamps the ABS sensor connector. Follow the ABS sensor back from the caliper and inot the arch. The connector should be held in place with something similar to this.

that not the pannel that goes behind the drivers side bit of the front grill? dont remember it having clips like that but might be different on the 172/aircon cars etc

That looks like the panel which fits next to the radiator in order to deflect air into it

Thought so

You can usually see this flap by looking through the bottom grille at the edge of the rad.

Bit of a ball-ache to refit unless you can wrench off the lower grille to gain access
