What is this pipe for?

The pipe coming from the back of the top inlet that goes into the bulkhead somewhere, can anyone tell me what it is and what it does? Its all squashed/melted and looks like it needs replaced.

I have done this, it couldve ended very badly!

Ive not been driving with it disconnected but since ive done a trackday, and noticed this pipe has melted i cant get pressure back into the peddle, ive bled the brakes 3 times with no luck, will this pipe be causing the problem?

How do i go about replacing it?

Yes that'll be it.

You need a new on. 10 mins to replace

Just searched on here for the servo vacum and seen a couple of threads say this bit of pipe is 40 plus quid from renault?
