That's the ECU and those brackets snap all the time.

Yeah, when i first went to look at my 172 in the garage i heard a horrible squeaking comin from somewhere.i made a huge big fuss about it... Absolute morons spent all day tryin to locate the problem. Then i realised that the bracket had snapped and the squeak was just the piece of metal rubbing, shame

shouldnt affect your running of the car as its only the bracket to hold the ecu in place mate

I wondered lol. Only messing. It will be sorted next friday.

Mine snapped and it took me a week to find where the squeeking noise was comming from. Just wedged a small piece of cloth between it.
