what is this???

This is behind the steering wheel. What is the black plastic ring because its broke and keeps clicking and how do i go about changing it

ye i think Rob is correct,

it slots into the back of your steering wheel, so when you use the indicators and turn and then straightn the wheel indicator goes off,

mine's snapped and is a pain, i keep driving for like 2 miles with indicator still on:eek:
 
I think its official name is - Airbag Squib Slip Ring Connector

The black thing that has a wire spun round it allowing it to be connected to the horn, while being able to be spun around.

You need to buy a new squib if that's gone.

Mine was broken and clicking and it also houses the steering wheel angle sensor (again mine was gone)

cost me £40 fitted for a secondhand one on Thursday.

Why? hardly does f**k all tbh, im driving with no horn + thats plastic is broken, dont get any problems atall,
